Edgar Allen Poe's short story The Cask of Amontillado is by far my favorite short story of all time and even though it is very short the way Poe only hints at what is really going on makes it so special. When i first saw this picture the skulls made me think of Poe's poetry because of how most of it has to do with either death or reincarnation. Then i thought of this story and reread it and when hearing how he described the catacomb he was in this picture seemed to perfectly show the description. The skulls and remains Poe talks about while taking Fortunato into the cellar complete the feeling of the story so well and nicely allude to what will happen soon to Fortunato who ends up not being so fortunate.
